In 2026 I made a decision: I would leave the operation at the end of the year and start a new chapter. Built solo in about 90 days, it is a full operations platform for a 240-field grain farm - accounting, agronomy, weather, contracts, harvest logistics, and even a parallel P&L for the custom application services I run on the side. It uses real data from EDKO Farms in 2026. It has taught me more about what software can and cannot do than any tutorial ever could.
Now I am looking for the next thing. I do not know exactly what shape it takes - product, engineering, ag-tech, something else - but I know I want to work on problems where operational messiness meets clean systems thinking. Where domain expertise matters. Where the answer is not obvious.
